Decorating Diary: Begin home office with fresh paint

Decorating Diary: Begin home office with fresh paint

For a perfect office, you will first remove everything in the room. If there is no room behind you, place this unit on a convenient side wall. Do not settle for less. You need good task lighting to look at papers and your keyboard.

Instead of holding up your wrists, purchase a foam gel pad and place your mouse on it.

Your chair should be adjustable for the height, tilt of the seat and the lumbar support.

I would prefer the desk placed far from the entrance door; however, your chair ought to be placed in back of the desk and, while seated, you will face the entrance.

Your desk chair must be comfortable. Your goal is to have storage space for each paper.

So begin with the painting. How about lighting?.

Your ceiling light is not the answer. On your desk will be a computer (laptop?) along with room for papers, telephone and incidentals.

In place of window curtains, window blinds would do just fine.
