Design New England wins 4th NAREE For the fourth straight year, Design New England has won first place in the National Association of Real Estate Editors Journalism Contest. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, commented that Design New England is a magazine "readers would want to return to again and again. " Ravgiala, a longtime journalist, adds, "To me, personally, the recognition is especially meaningful coming from the faculty at the Scripps school. "The NAREE award means so much to us," says Design New England editor, Gail Ravgiala, "because we are increasingly being judged for our skills as journalists as well as our great design. W. This honor comes on the heels of Design New England's 2011 Gold Eddie award for Best Single Issue in the consumer magazine category of the annual competition sponsored by FOLIO: magazine, considered the Oscars of the periodical publishing industry. It gives credence to our mantra that high journalistic standards should never be compromised and that they can go hand-in-glove with a beautiful presentation.
